Meet your
instructor
Hello, my name is Giacomo (James for short) and I will be your teacher for the next 4 weeks.
I first learnt how to use a camera in 2005 (gosh I feel old) and made the leap as a professional photographer in 2007, starting out as a wedding photographer with a friend of mine.
Since that time I have worked across multiple styles of photography, ran a photography studio, had an exhibition, and have been published both in Australia and overseas. I have had my work exhibited in New York as well as Athens as part of the International Photography Awards and at The Royal Exhibition Hall in Melbourne for the Epson Pano Awards.
The curriculum for this course is based on the main topics I get asked by beginners and on the topics that I wanted to learn when I was just starting out.
My approach is to ensure all students understand the foundations of photography, combined with practical exercises that are both fun and entertaining in order to make learning enjoyable. There are no silly questions in my class and I do my best to create a fun environment to learn.
Through this approach, I am certain you will become more confident using your camera and take better photos.
I love teaching, I love photography, and that pretty much sums it all up.
